****TTech 600 Evo IX turbo conversion results****
« on: October 23, 2009, 12:42:48 PM »

As some of you may remember we posted a while back that we were working on our own stock based Evo IX and X turbo conversions.  We have been testing this turbo for about 2 months now on the dyno and running it on a couple customer cars to ensure long-term reliability and performance.  Yesterday I tuned one of these on a EVO IX with the following modifications:

TTech 600 turbo
TBE
Ported exhaust manifold
Kelford 272 camshafts
Supertech single high tension springs
Ported Turbine housing
Invidia O2Housing
RC1000cc Injectors
Synapse BOV
ETS Intercooler piping
AMS intercooler
Perrin intak tube and filter
Prodrive 3 port boost solenoid
Aquamist HFS-1 Methanol kit

We are very happy with the results so far.  We achieve 20.09lbs. of boost by 3752 rpm and hit our target peak boost of 27psi by 4100 rpm.  This tune was achieved using 91 octane and Methanol injection.

This setup can easily hit 500+whp if we crank up the boost some more but for right now the customer is happy with where its at for the street.  We will be retuning this vehicle for max power once we change out the 3 port boost solenoid and wastegate actuator to a higher base spring pressure.  I really think we can improve spoolup from where its at now; hopefully getting it down another 100 rpm or so.

Pricing for this turbo is as follows:

Upgrade Price (*Using your existing Evo IX turbo. Compressor and Inconel Turbine wheel upgrade) $1050

*Core must be in good condition. Damaged units do not qualify

Outright Purchase Price  (New turbo core. Compressor and Inconel Turbine wheel upgrade) $1550

Lead times for upgrading or purchasing the turbo are at 5 days or less as of 10-22-09. PM us with any questions and thank you for looking! Mitsu Emblem

I like how that power band is pretty flat from 6.5-7.5k...isnt dipping down like some of these stock frame turbos. Can't wait to see what it looks like with some more boost....32lbs!!!

FP Red killa? Turbo looks promising, yes...but let the facts be told before we go creating rumors.

I made about that much power on an FP Green on MS109 over a year ago. The true test will be with high boost and E-85/MS109/C16....
