TTech 600 bolt on turbo results - Evo vs STI winner
« on: November 20, 2009, 11:42:29 AM »

Tuning Technologies TTech 600 bolt-on turbo
Tuning Technologies ECU tune
AEM intake
272-degree cams
Works O2 housing
Works downpipe
GReddy SP2 catback exhaust
ETS fmic
AMS lower ic pipe
RC 1000cc/min injectors
Walbro fuel pump
ARP heat studs
100-octane
about 23psi of boost

Just got back from the track with Tuning Technologies' new bolt-on turbocharger. Stock Evo 9 turbo, custom machined with new compressor wheel and Inconel turbine wheel. Complete stock, direct bolt on replacement. 417whp and 362 lb/ft of torque. Tuning Technologies did a great job tuning as well, the engine idles and drives smooth with no problems. Low noise with the street exhaust too, can't really hear or see the power. You can feel it though. Huge top end gains compared to the factory turbo.

We brought the car out to Buttonwillow for the Import Tuner/Continental Tires Evo vs. STI Shootout, which we won overall with the fastest lap. Together with the KW coilovers, M1FD chassis setup, Gruppe-S ACD flash, 5Zigen wheels and Carbonetic rear LSD, the car felt great. Thanks to the TT crew for all their help, Russ and Albert at the track, and check out a future issue of Import Tuner mag for their complete coverage!

Alfred from TT chimed in on this thread http://www.socalevo.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=87577.0

Upgrade Price (*Using your existing Evo IX turbo. Compressor and Inconel Turbine wheel upgrade) $1050
*Core must be in good condition. Damaged units do not qualify

Outright Purchase Price  (New turbo core. Compressor and Inconel Turbine wheel upgrade) $1550

About the same power level as a Red but a couple hundred bucks less.

Yes, sorry. I noticed that I had typed the number in wrong. Alfred from TT reminded me of the correct psi.
