well, this is what i found out. if you are written up for a 27156VC violation you will get your car smog-checked. so if you have cams and injectors they will have to be removed. which cost money. and pay to have them reinstalled which will cost money. also the ref. charges a 38 dollar fee for the smog check not including what the court will charge.

just an FYI for those that what cams and injectors.

you dont have to take anything off that the ref's cant see. if you have adjustable cam gears and are out in the open then yeah they have to be stock. but if its just camshafts then dont take them off unless they fail the emissions.

I have 272's and 720 injectors. there is not way that i will pass smog with those installed even if I put the stock cat back on.

i would put put the stock injectors in and get it tested, worth a try then spending on the removal and reinstall.  you get one free re test if you fail

it would be interesting to know if it would pass smog with stock injectors and no safc. I heared 272's won't pass smog even with stock injectors. also I don't have cam gears.

yeah, it would. and for sure the afc has to go, also turbo timer if you have one
not if you have it where they can't see it... also the problem with the 272/272 as well as injectors ,is that they affect how rich the car runs at idle as well as idle itself (on cams) since both arent something that you can see (visual inspection)

yes its true, as long as they cant see it, your good. but emissions is a whole different ball game.

so it's safe to say that both have to go.
