ok i know this is an old post. but I am working/testing BOV's for Synapse Engineering and i am currently running his BOV on my talon. and will be running one on my Evo soon. this BOV will only help your evo or whatever else you put it on. i've seen this BOV eliminate compressor surge on a STI running a 30R. the guy was running a greddy BOV. The wrb wrx in most the video's are is a buddy of mine and he was running a Tial setup BOV/wastegate on his. it made a huge diff in his turbo response and feel. I've had absolutely no problems running this on my Talon.

its a stupid waste of money.... all it is is just a different type of BOV.. any properly tuned BOV will eliminate surge.. ive seen those stupid videos they have and they make the BOV surge purposely .... very stupid video.... very stupid product.. stick to jdm or IX diverter valve... or go with Forge if you plan on making over 400hp...

ok i'll agree with you that any properly tuned BOV will eliminate surge. but it's not a stupid product; by any means. have you even tried one? i have to ask you how can you knock a product if you've never even tried it? and no they didn't make it surge purposely!

Thats pretty cool, my friend had really bad problems with compressor surge on his gti this would have been a good solution.

Here's a vid of the Synchronic BOV on an EVO with the discharge recirculated: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDaYJ_2NoXESince this is a SoCal forum, you all have the opportunity to call this BOV out and test it for yourself. We've setup a shop in San Diego with 2 sets of demo BOVs that you can try out with no strings attached. See for yourself if it is all marketing hype, or if they actually work. This is how confident we are in the performance of the product.

Thats not a IX MR though. That is an VIII MR with a IX front bumper and I know who owns it. The valve is a nice design though.
