Can you guys please help me out before i shit more bricks, I just got a ticket today 05/28/08 by an CHP a block away from my house coming from work, coming from the opposite side the cops just stared at me till he busted a turn and finally pulled me over, saying he stoped me for my front license plate and front tinted windows, guess he didnt have nothing better to do. I stay by Inglewood by LAX where im not the only one modified, so on he asked for my LIC,REG,Ins, then he asked me what have i done to my car(modifing) i said i bought the car as is 2 yrs ago preowned and said the only thing i did was the AEM intake which he was cool with it , in the other hand he said the BOV was not emission regulated.(greddy type-RS.) routed into intake, he didnt say anythng else of everything else like exhaust, manifold, gauges etc... He wrote me down on for "front tint windows, front lic plate, and finally 27156(b) vc-modified emissions- adjust blow-off, state ref cert req-advise 24004"/ with that white sticker they place on the citation. Can someone please help me since this is my first ref ticket. Im affraid if i take it to ref he wont just check the BOV but the whole car. CAN i just pay a fine instead of taking alot of shit off my car???. [u][/u]Please help ur advise will be really appreciated. my court date is on 8-21-08.

yep! the ref will check the whole car for this ticket. You can pay a fine, just need to call the court clerk to find out how much. But since you're not that heady modified, put back to stock before the ref may cost less than paying the fine.

Call the coroner! There's gonna be a lot of slow singin , and flower bringin if my Evo's alarm starts ringinI never chuck a deuce to a X owner...because I'm not sure if it's a Lexus, Mazda, or a Toyota... So I give them the finger!

i paid 350 for mine.. and that was it.. didnt need to go back to stock or anything...
just pay it..

if you go to the ref, they'll find ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that's aftermarket. it doesn't matter if it passes emissions, if it doesn't pass visual (stock only) then you still do not pass at the ref station. like another member said, you can just pay it and not take everything off. except mine was a 38 dollar service fee at the ref station and my ticket was $400 =\

What about cams? If I put my car back to stock except for the cams, do they have you let it sit there and idle? Gas be expensive.

the cams are cool. as far as idle, yes the car will be at idle. the emissions test is done at idle and 2500rpm since they dont have any AWD dynos.

SO im better of Paying it off huh??? IT would be a hastle to put everything back to stock besides the visual test which is another issue. dam!! i better start saving up.

If your heavily modified than pay for the fine but if you get caught again for the same violation and for the same court, the penalty and fines go up.

HI, I got a state ref ticket too , and i ahve any car put back to stock and ready for check. I want to know after I have the REF pass , what I need to do ? and how much i will have to paid ?
