E85 station on valley view and imperial 76 station
It's never going to get below $3.59 in Sylmar.... it's been locked in that price for the past 3 months.
Safety First! :)
i've been filling up there for the past 3 years and there's a cop in the parking lot about 50% of the times i went to go fill up. i have not been bothered once by any of them, and my car screams pretty loud: big wing, big canards, no front license plate, loud exhaust.
Running an EVO X pumping the fuel out idling until the car stalls, pouring in 6 gallons of measured E-82, tune the car on that and then measure the Ethanol level of what is in the tank, it reads E-75. Then again the car is tuned on E-75 so it is safe down to and at that point. But obviously better at E-83 to E-83 or more. I prefer to pour in at least 12 gallons of E myself when switching and tuning.

I think I got my gauge 2 years ago now? In any case, the lowest it has read is E79 and the highest while idling has been E82. I noticed that sometimes when the car is not on, it will read as high as E86. It seems like the range is pretty consistent overall though. There is about -5% variation and never seemingly more around the LA area stations (including SD when I was going there x2 a month).

$3.19 in San Pedro
$3.49 in Sylmar
Also, FWIW download the PROPEL app. It posts prices and locations of all their pumps in SOCAL.
Since most if not all of E85 pumps in our area is PROPEL i figured it would be cool to post up your "Clean Drive" information. I just started pumping E85 in August but thought this was some pretty interesting information. Here is mine:
Burning corn and not using oil is good but the claim of less co2 is kind of a joke. Here is a pretty good article on it.

No one here does it for the environmental issues. We do it because it is like forking rocket fuel for $3.50 a gallon or less usually. I mean, god bless all the people that do it for the miss placed reasons. They pay for the distribution network for our cheap rocket fuel.

Allegedly E85 creates more particulate matter, which is more the immediate cause of irritation for most people (i.e. ears, nose, throat, lungs...).
Also, as the article above discusses, the benefit of running E85 is negligible to 91 in may ways, or in some cases worse.
Mike is also right, I never care about MPG or what my single driver car is doing to the environment because EVO drivers are a mere speck on the map of polluters. This is similar to people worrying about taking a 5 minute shower during the drought. We are arguing about if we should water our lawns or wash our cars but the real discussion should be focused on water intensive business in the state and how much it benefits the state. Similarly, passenger cars are not the core cause of pollution in our state. This may shock people because of what you see on the roads and freeways all day every day but the real issue comes from big businesses primarily focusing on goods movement (e.g. almost everything sold west of the Mississippi comes in to the country through the LA/LBC port system including all the EVOzzz).
My hope is that if E85 becomes more widely available beyond its current limited niche market, it will lessen our dependence on foreign oil.
That would be a positive beyond the added HP/TQ.
I think you're a little off base on some things.
"Fueled by robust growth in the San Francisco Bay Area, California's population continued its slow, steady ascent last year, adding 1,000 residents each day in 2013 to bring the number of people in the nation's largest state to 38.3 million." http://www.latimes.com/local/la-me-c...501-story.html
If 38. 3 million took a shorter shower, I think it would make a huge difference but to each there own. The car thing is whatever since one motorcycle makes up for it in pollution haha.
You are right for sure BUT industry uses WAAAAY more water to the revenue they bring in shockingly...mainly agriculture, feed lots and major corporations...not to include fracking. Don't get me wrong, I have been trying to save water by swapping over my lawn to a drought tolerant this and that + having some 5 minute shower timer shit in my shower. Nevertheless, I think all the focus on us regular dudes taking shorter showers and not washing our EVOs is a bit of a red herring.
Im considering changing my lawn to synthetic turf but according to my bill im not a heavy water user.... only 2 adults and 2 babies in my household and i don't sprinkle my lawn every day. As for washing my cars i use a electric power washer and it uses considerably less vs. without it.
FWIW The Norwalk station now accepts straight cash. No cards to buy. Give the guy in the office $40 and get $40 worth of E85. That simple.
50.02 gallons@ 3.099 a gallon $155.01 cash money. (EVO 6 going to Willow Springs this weekend)

$2.69 at Pearsons off El Cajon Blvd.
$2.99 cash at Brentwood last night when I filled up. Horray!
