why didnt you just buy the radio harness for the car? its about 20 bucks and would have saved you the hassle and kept the integrity of the vehicle...
Well it already had an aftermarket radio before i just wanted an in-dash..but everything is good now..the problem was with my constant 12V+ wire...DCH Motorsports in Temecula fixed it for me..don't really know what they did..but they made it work.Originally Posted by WWboost

for anyone reading this, cutting off the factory plug is not the best way to do any stereo. Metra and other mobile electronics companies sell adaptors that plug into the factory harness and have wires that are color coded the same as after market stereos. It basically Idiot proofs the process and saves headaches like this from happening. Also when you want to put the stock back in (which you will if you are going to sell it) this makes it super simple to re install the stocker.
Great! I did this and I'm so glad I figured out what it was (from your thread) ... I haven't even installed a new stereo yet, and I have no power lol, but I'm going somewhere tomorrow & hopefully they'll fix it for me!
just order a harness as everyone has said
