Still more info, not that people really care anymore. There will be 3 Initial D movies (yes, a trilogy) with the first one due in August of this year. Not sure how this relates to Fifth Stage and not sure if it's some sort of retelling or not. But expect 3 movies.

First of the 3 Initial D movies was released in theaters in Japan in August. The BluRay for this first movie will drop on December 26th, so my guess would be shortly after the new year 2015 we should see fansubs appearing. Looks like it's about a 62 minute "movie" retelling of Initial D. No idea how much material they will cover, but at a running time of roughly one hour I expect that the story will leave a lot to be desired.
