My original clutch died... after 10 years and 224k miles

So I was driving to work today and my clutch would not depress.Â* Took it to SCM and Rigo told me the clutch need to be replaced.
So after almost 10 years and 224k miles (bought the car brand new in April 2003), my original stock clutch finally diedÂ* :'(
The Evo has been the most reliable car I've ever ownedÂ* O0Â* Hopefully after the clutch job at SCM my Evo will last another 200k miles!Â* :mitsu:

Congrats! At least that thing put in work O0

I agree that the evo is very reliable...outside of my stock battery dying a few weeks after the warranty ended LMAO

And if it failed so that the pedal would not depress, that is the release bearing (throw out bearing) that popped out of its retainer. The stock clutch was still there holding on!

Yeah, I think so, the stock clutch was still working fine before it happened. But since they have to tear it apart to fix it, they said I should replace the clutch, I figure it's about time anyway.

I have 83K... It's fine... Until I flip the meth injection switch... then it slips... I don't think it's goin out, I just think the poor thing isn't strong enough.

Take pics of the disc and stuff when they get it out the car! I gotta see what this think looks like!

The clutch wasn't slipping or anything, I'm guessing maybe another 10-20k? Rigo just told me the spring came loose, but the flywheel looked fine and didn't need to be replaced.

Stock tranny, other than this clutch job past services are just just routine maintenance services.
