Sorry, last Thurs I was in Texas for FD and I was at Irwindale today testing the drift car. A couple hours late

Since I missed a Thursday so here is a bonus one. In 2001 we helped a guy build his own EVO out of a Mirage. We bought a front clip and drivetrain from Japan. When it showed up, it turned out to be from a rally car with some cool parts on it.

AYC, we had too much smog crap in the way to fit this option on the US versions.
The 7 was the first with the new straighter stronger suspension crossmember. On the 4-5-6 the transfer case went under the crossmember. Made it easier to take the transfer case off, but the crossmember had to curve up and over the transfercase on the 4-5-6. With the 7-8-9 the transfer case goes over the top so that the crossmember can be bigger, beefier and most importantly straight in-between the front control arm mounting points. We were all "wowww, lookie that!"
