Forgot, I remember he was an instructor though, with a track prepped car. I'll see if I can find it once they post pics. Do you know him?
A "Dino Crescentini" is the owner of Centric/Stoptech and races a Porsche Cup car among other cars. Slightly different spelling, but an easy misspelling for an entry list. Just saw you were faster than him :-)

No but, I was pretty bummed out with the brake/fuel issues the car had last weekend at SOW, and I feel like I didn't put down a time the car was worthy of, so I will be heading out to Redline Time Attack @ Buttonwillow on Aug 30/31! Hope to see some of you guys out there :)

Well, today was interesting, Buttonwillow 13CW with RLTA/ExtremeSpeed. It was a little packed, and extremely dusty from all the people going off (I even two-wheeled it once), but still had a blast today. Best time was a 3PM 2:06.872, which apparently isn't bad for a newbie to Buttonwillow (although it feels terrible seeing all the 1:5x), but really hope to get out there again soon (with Ohlins) and break into sub-2 :P
Was also interesting meeting some of the crazy track Evo guys, as well as some of the other, slightly more milder Evos. Awesome seeing John and Zhong run.
ST43's + new RBF600 was a great band-aid fix to the braking problems from the last track day at Streets. However, after continuous hard braking, the fluid would start to boil toward the end of the 20 minute sessions. Brake ducting is next. That and finding a way to shed some more weight off the car (and me).
On a side note, ST43's are amazing pads. Even when the fluid was on the brink of boiling, the pads didn't fade at all. This is a dangerous thing for those just transitioning from stock pads though. With stock pads, they'll fade and let you know that you'll have to stop to let the brakes cool down. With ST43's, they'll bite and bite until, with little warning, the fluid boils and the pedal drops. You'll have to be able to recognize the little warning they do give when the fluid is about to give.
On a side side note, really REALLY can't wait until Ohlins. Getting really tired of the crappy handling with springs (and crappy springs at that).

great that you are learning more about track and how the car perform. I need to replace one of my coild that it's mess up (too much spring preload on one side). how did the other team members perform?
WTF I think I saw you Treyzian at BRP on sunday! I was the guy in the big ass dodge ram 3500 that left the same time you did. You were right behind me when we left and got on the freeway.
Good seeing you out there Jeff. Hope to see you at the track more often. Just keep at it, and the times will drop. Track was probably about two seconds slower compared to a cooler day. I'm loving the new pavement.
