not bad coming off a 3-1-0 road trip against Playoff teams. considering last night we had a 3rd stringer in LaBarbera and had our goalie coach dressed as his backup, winning against the Avs was pretty good.

Wow what a game !!! Talk about a battle that I was not expecting. That was a great game to watch, both teams did a great job and kept this game so intense. To bad my kings fell short and lose a game I thought was a win but I'll admit and say good game to the ducks.

in all honesty Quick bailed the kings tonight. the highly touted la defense took a dump tonight (SOG: ANA=49; LA=26). Anaheim dominated the play tonight as the stats dont lie:

la should have won this in regulation, what with Anaheim playing a rookie defenseman in place of Beauchemin (Manson) paired with the 2nd line, no Corey Perry and Kyle Palmeri (both scoring wingers), Andersen having an off night (the penalty shot and the soft wrister that gave la the 3-1 lead from long range), and being relieved by a 4th-stringer goalie in ex-king Jason LaBarbera. color me shocked when Anaheim tied it and sent it to a shootout.
it felt like a real playoff game to be honest, and la will get a chance at a rematch this saturday. for a showdown between two defensive teams, tonight was a high-scoring game with 13 combined goals (including the 3 in shootout).
