Hello everyone, new to the forums. I'm located in San Diego. My first car was a 2003 lancer OZ rally which I sold earlier this year, and bought a 2009 lancer ES. Shortly after my dad bought himself a GTS. We are slowly working our way up to an EVO. My dad will probably stick with a RA though. Lancer family, and we have more to learn. Any other people new to the lancer/evo scene?

Nice man, I was lucky to get a pearl white one. I Loved it, But It Was Automatic And Wanted To make the switch to manual transmission! What car do you currently own?

I've been trying to be active and learn as much as I can. Just jumping from my 03 OZ rallly with stock 132 HP to my 9glancer with 152 HP was a HUGE difference. I can't wait to buy either an EVO 9 or X. Although the X is much heavier, I still like how comfortable it is as oppose to the 9 or even the 8.
better act fast though. new X's are starting to have markups and used ones are getting snapped up fast.

I wish I could, but like I said, I'm moving slowly up the ranks I suppose. I know that the mark ups are going to just keep getting heavier and heavier since these are the last of their bloodline. I'm really disappointed that there will no longer be any more evos, except for that supposed watered down version. I think I will just be one of those people that will buy an overpriced EVO in the future. Hopefully, by the time I buy them it won't be like the 8's that you can barely find a clean title.

just feel weird in there since I'm used to my 9. Either way you'll love the EVO when you get it! night and day difference forsure.
Yeah that's what I like about the 9. It's a refined 8, but not heavy like the X. I'm not a big guy neither, at 5'7 and a boxy build I have no issue in either car. I just like having a lot of room to move around in. Back when I had my OZ my hair would touch the ceiling all the time and it would bug me. I don't know, I'm torn between both honestly.
Just sold my Infiniti g37. It was auto and I got bored. Buying my evo x today hopefully! 2014 GSR. Def buy stick. It's hard to drive auto after you do.
Yeah man, HUGE difference between driving stick and auto. It's wayyyyyyy more fun, although driving in traffic does become a real pain from time to time. Good luck on the buy man keep us posted!!
Yea, I get bothered maaaaybe once a month from traffic, but I drive in traffic everyday and it rarely bothers me. Just came home with my 2014 wicked white GSR. I'll post some better pics from my DSLR. Just took some quick shots with my phone before sun went down

Btw I just noticed you are in SD. Check out our Facebook san diego evo group page. Much activity there too.
If you are referring to me then I can't. The SD evo group is only for evo owners, so if you don't have an evo don't attempt to join the group. There's an application process as well.
XD there knee pads required to have access to the group. I joined early, then they let me stay. Hopefully you can get an Evo soon. SD evo is the best evo group I've been.. :)

Yeah I've heard really good things about the group. I saw them on a cruise one time. I saw a camo green evo 8 and several other great looking evos, and that's when I knew I had to get an evo.

Hey guys chiming in for the first time here. Got a 2011 X mr about 5 months ago. Loving it so far added the basics and hittin the streets as my new daily. I'm in the sfv hope to see some of y'all around!!
