    Cool Lathe Werks shift knob

I don't want to do a super long review.

I have had the stock knob on 2 EVO VIIIs. It is aiiieeet. whatever.

I had the Razo Ball on my first EVO. The size was perfect but it wasn't weighted.

I got the ARC knob for both my EVOs because...well it is ARC. The piece is weighted and amazing but it was tiny.

For a while, I was in denial that this really mattered but then I just bit the bullet and got a LATHE WERKS knob.
It is the size of the Razo and heavier than the ARC.

This is the best knob I have ever used on an EVO, and my car shifts better with it for sure.
    It just shifts smoother.

    Get this knob you knobs.

The ARC knob is 264g and is 1.5" (approx.)
The Lathe Werks knob is 270g and is 2"
Also, this is just a big hunk of beautifully machined Ti.
The ARC knob is a mass produced ball of Ti with a plastic insert...not as cool.

If you miss my old style super detailed novella reviews, just read this guy's, he seems cool even though he drives an STi.

edit: I hate how this site changes your pictures to sideways.

...oh, also, the ordering process is simple, and the knob came quick. the guy who makes them and runs the company is super cool.

If you're at RRE or passing by the next few days, you should try out my Blox 490. I like it :P but always wondered how it compared to other knobs in terms of feel.

They seem similar in size and weight.

That's a nice looking piece. Love the simple, precision machined stuff and he's got a lot of good options and ideas. Seems significantly better than the other expensive knobs i've seen lately, namely Flossy and TWM. I didn't realize there was that much of a market for the really expensive shift knob.

This is just a well machined hunk of grade A USA Ti made in the USA, so it is not the JDM of JDMs or anything like that but this knob is just straight up better than anything I have driven with on any car. I drove an EVO with the black Ralliart knob. It was nice but it was as light or lighter than the OEM knob. I was looking for something weighted. If you look at the options, there are knobs that will make your shift point higher (up to wherever actually), or lower. I think mine raises the shift point up about 1". There are 3" raise knobs and extenders and all that, so you can really get the shape, feel, and height you want. That was the big selling point.

Good materials made in the US.

The knob is machined in the US.

You can custom design it to be exactly what you want.

    hi.

Man I always liked this shift, so bad ass. I like the small size of the stock metal RS knob so that's why I never cared to change it. But damn that knob is nice lol.

Yep, I fucking love Lathe Werks stuff.
    Here is my setup.
I had the knob from him only on twm cage. but i didn't like twm short throw that much.
The extension from TWN is way over priced. So I got extension from him too.
Now this setup works well for me.

I would highly recommend his products!

I have an authentic Ralliart shift knob too, and its hands down the best shift knob I've ever had. It sits a bit high, which I like.

    ^^^ POST PICS!!

I like higher sitting knobs. The Lathe Werks knob sits a little higher. They also make some knobs that sit much higher. Unfortunately, they do not have the JDM steeze.
