Well I'm no longer a fan of BaT. Looks like they censor comments. Tried 4 or 5 times to post this:
"The claimed production numbers are incorrect. Additionally, Mitsubishi never broke down the number of RS by color. Weightless White is a bit more common than Rally Red for the RS.
And the car has 30k miles with new brake rotors (with stainless steel lines to boot), it is corner balanced with Ohlins coilovers, it has a harness bar, it has an upgraded rear diff, it has upgraded bushings, and more... You would have to be absolutely naive to think this RS has only been tracked once.
Do the VIN stickers all match? Hood, fenders, bumpers, doors, trunk lid, engine, trans, etc. It would behoove potential buyers to make sure everything matches up. Clean Carfax doesn't mean anything."
When i first started posting there, my comments would have to be reviewed by staff. Now, they show up immediately. I've been wondering if there is some unadvertised probationary period...
Wish you had posted that about the production numbers. The numbers posted in the ad didn't sound right.
I wouldn't be surprised if the car had only been tracked once. I wouldn't be surprised if it had been tracked 10 times.
There are a shit ton of elaborate poser track car/race car "builds" out there, where people spend tens of thousands on motorsports grade suspension components, safety equipment, and so on. At any given car show you'll see plenty of these track inspired or race inspired or whatever themes. This car still seems like a street car, save for the DTC70s.
Also, i have a pristine, low mileage S2000 that i purchased at 15k miles and had every intent on tracking it. It's been there once and it may never go back while in my possession. These cars are hard to find in this condition and it'd be devastating if something happened to it. Truth be told, i often think of selling it and buying another S2000 with more miles, some bumps and bruises, at half the value.
Good one, but no posted price

Damn...wish i could :/ https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sg...791340798.html
I call BS on the " never modified," unless I see the paint pen marks on the screws. That car is at best 27K in good condition, which from the pics is not.
Maybe. Maybe not. Badgeless trunk did raise an eyebrow (collision repair?). If i was in the market for a minty fresh IX, you can bet i'd be looking at this one, as it's one of the most virgin looking cars i've seen in a while. But as with all 2nd hand Evos, a thorough inspection would be a must!
Great find. I may have to check this out.
Almost perfect... http://bringatrailer.com/2017/01/21/...-evolution-ix/
Still, would bone.
would buy one too if the funds and availability were to both happen
Sportback Evolution MR
Nah, it was FS in JP. BaT likes to feature stuff from all over the place. I've got a serious love for the wagons so i had to share :)
