BBS LM: Legit or Reps? Help

    Hello,

I am looking to buy a set of used BBS LM off a GTR/Ex-Evo 9 owner named "Squirmos". The wheels look awesome but I am a little worried about the authenticity of the wheels.

Most BBS LM have logos and the stamps. His wheels do have the "BBS" and "JWL" logos but it is missing the small letters that has the sizing, offset, and LMP etc...

Any knowledgeable input or vouches for the seller would be greatly appreciated.

Attached are some pictures for you guys to view. IMG_0431.JPGIMG_0427.jpg

Not sure if he got it refinished in a different color. There looks like an imprint on the top portion as it would be on the real one. However it partial faded as if it was powder coated.

You can see the longer embedded serial is on the exact part where the JWL stamp is at. Just my 2cents.

    yeah the things a BEAST

however, it still does not guarantee that the wheels are real. I've been texting with him back and forth and even he's a little confused as to why the inner face stamps are not there...

I get that he's an auto fanatic and its reassuring but I just need 100% certainty that the wheels are the real deal before buying them.

what do they say in the inside?

Here are two pictures. One is a replica and the other is the seller's BBS LM. Replica manufactures are taking forgery to another level.

not sure, the wheels are actually still on his GTR. Can you vouch for the seller/Squirmos/Orlando?

^That's not a bad idea. I wasn't sure about some Sparcos back in the day. Showed em to Sparco, they confirmed fakes. I don't know Orlando real well, but i did a little business with him and he seems like a good dude, and i ditto the above- i'd be hugely surprised to see him put replica/fake anything on that car.

put'em on a scale. fakes might not the have the same weight as the specs on the manufactures site. in any case if they are, he my not have known himself. the 32¤ its really not all that much with he 25 year rule. some packages include a trip to japan to buy the car yourself and walk though the Japanese-GOT lot. its a program where the government buys back older cars. and give you credits for a newer one. not sure how it works other then you have to be a japanese citizen for x amount of years. anyways you can get anything now s12's FC's for a reasonable price n fees.

off topic: but if you have anykind of college degree you can become a Japanese citizen pretty easy.
