must be nice!!
Pics on the car!!!
Beautiful. Enjoy em!
gratitude everyone I share my joy with you all, I was just gonna put them on with the springs but I think it wouldnt look right. So I will wait for the coils: fortune auto is 4 week build cycle(ATM they are blowing up) so I got two more weeks. I am getting the white-line bump correction and some other bushings and a rear 27mm installed all at the same time.
one question thou I want to run a 265/35 tire you all think that's ok 18x10.5 +22
Should be fine. I personally would run 275/35 on that setup.
I think you can get away with some negative camber and a roll in the rear with +22. You're going to probably get some rubbing on the front fender liner with 275 at full lock. I know I did.
I'm running 18x10.5 +15 with 265/35. Just roll your rears and you're good to go!
But yes to rubbing against the front fender liner. I actually had that problem too when I was on springs & 18x9.5 +22 with 245/40
post pics when you install them!
yup so close, I got the tires today 275/35/18 hankook ventus v12 evo2 for 148.00 bucks each, theres an $80 rebate visa card. in the past its taken about 6 weeks to get the card. careful its looks a lot like the fake credit card junk mail you get
the fortune autos are on track to be here Friday(22nd). install day is 28th, followed by a detail on the 2nd form delegance detail. hes crazy on the phone: I bet his house is spotless. anyways I really don't have much of a camera so if anyone in SD whats to have a mini meet n shoot some decent pix of the whips that would be cool. I will for sure put some kind of pix up....soon.
and oh yeah, the ct9a is, getting a heart transplant...engine is on a ship due to dock in LB Monday. so I went and sat in the VIIII and there was fucking spiders in the car, FUCK!!! so yeah I gotta deal with that somehow. been sitting since 011.
Wheels are dope. :)
gratitude, sir!
I forgot fitment: lowered on fortune autos @ 4 clicks from softest F:2.1"/R:2.2" (still room to go 1" more) 18x10.5 gramlights 57dr-SE hankook ventus v12 evo2 rears are rolled/clips shaved, impeccably-unblemished by mike from phantom. nothing done to the front, slight rub at full lock.
im stoked how it came out. my next project is getting some two piece brake rotors.
lmk how you like those coils!! I am saving up for a set :) car looks great btw i really like 57dr wheels on evos
thanks.
the coils are solid. easy to work with. they have all the contemporary features you need. I think you should take a look at FEAL motorsports too: and fortune auto. they are both bespoke, and feal's come with swift springs base, which is super nice. plus they both have rebuild support here in the states.
I think they buy high end parts from manufacturing factories overseas but rather then have them assembled there, they ship and build their product here. this allows them to have a menu you can pick what you want. 3-28k springs or with swift you can get a 34k spring. then you can add various bits-O-pieces. since their bracket is open, you can upgrade to any thing later.
I only regret is not getting swift springs, but that adds 300 bucks.
what the runs a 34k spring, I know the stancy kids want high rates but you might as well have a brick in there.

^ This!! Both Fortune Auto and FEAL have a good formula- US based manufacturing and support, all of which is in house. The basic external componentry is sourced from Taiwan, but the guts are all built here, which is the important part. It's not that hard to machine 20 or 20,000 lower brackets or top plates, etc. Using quality internals and knowing valving is huge though! Also steps up the quality control game significantly, and allows them total control of the final product. I ended up going with FEALs but you can't go wrong with either company.
I just found out about Feal suspension not that long ago. I'll be going tomorrow to their shop to check out the goodies! I am so happy that they are located in Ontario, Ca.
