    Running from ricer land

Whats up everyone!! My name is Thomas I just bought my first Mitsubishi and am in love. I got tired of coffe can exhausts and loud but slow civics.....I needed more in my life so I found the EVO! I want to learn everything I can over time and meet people who love their evo like i do, I've noticed that posting in the wrong thread is HIGHLY discouraged hahahaha so here's my intro ... Born and raised SD I'm 28 work as a medical assistant and referrals coordinator married no kids and I love my car more than most people I know ....I just want to meet people who understand why.

If you have Facebook then look up the "San Diego Evo" (closed group). After you request they usually PM you to make sure you own an evo. There is a big meet this Sat, Kearny Mesa bowling at 5PM. Apparently some huge banner will be there to sign that will be hung at mitsubishi for the rest of time. They usually have Bi-Weekly Tuesday meets as well.

    Ricer land huh?
FYI my friend, any car can be turned into a "ricer", even an EVO. I don't think you should be bashing because IMO Honda makes a great product. I've had many Hondas and currently own a Pilot as well as a EVO X. I love the EVO, it's an amazing machine and in a class of it's own as far as I'm concerned. But I'll tell you one thing.. I'd never own anything else that Mitsubishi makes. Get what I'm saying?
In any case, I get that you're excited and congratulations on your purchase.

pffft Honda sold its soul in 93'' Honda has being living on its name for, long enough for people to see they are not the same cars they used to make > in japan < as a Honda stock holder I'm happy, but as a Honda fan, I see a chained downtrodden, chained and beaten for profits dog. same is same, its not better or worse QC +/- 5-8% then most of the other cars: which happens to still reside cleverly hidden in the margin of error on the stock reports. their number in 1988 were %200 over fords QC. now its like cheer up mate, were still a pep bite better then ford now, run along and be happy about that. you will not see the 22RE QC days are long gone (yes I know 22re is a Toyota engine) I would sooner buy a 1991 Si hatch, before I give my money to a new Si.

Performance has been put to the side. They seem to be doing more tree hugging nowadays than anything. I have no idea about all that stock info or QC #s, but yes the 91 hatch was a good car. I used to own one back in the day. Also a 87 civic, 96 Accord, 99 Si and now a 04 Pilot. Hondas run. For a long time. I can beat on them and not worry something will break. Reliable, easy to work on and parts aren't astronomically priced. My Pilot has 175K on it and never had one problem. If Honda made a AWD turbo platform like the EVO, you best believe I would have purchased it. Their products are good, period. I've owned and wrenched on enough of their stuff to say that from firsthand experience. Not a huge Toyota fan, for a brief moment I possessed a 93 4Runner. Biggest pile of crap. The only sombrero I'd ever consider buying is a Tundra. Love my EVO. Would never buy any other Mitsubishi.
