Made the jump from an VIII to a X

Well...after a good couple of years out of my blue menace (BBY VIII) I jumped ship and picked up a 2010 apex silver GSR. So far Im loving the cruise control and other creature comforts that the VIII just didn't have; however I do miss the rawness that the VIII and IX had. So far its dropped on some tein springs, has a 3.5in intercooler (haven't pulled the bumper to figure out the brand) upper and lower pipes, CAI, downpipe, and CBE and its sitting on some VMR VB3's. Im going up to Roadrace next friday for a tune and then going to do a few things to the exterior to set it apart. I want to keep it somewhat subtle but who knows...

it is hard to stay stock with the Evo. only good thing is there are lots of local tuners in socal that you can choose from.

91 for the next couple of months, Im going to do e85 once I decide on what route I want to take. Im really liking the better gas milage compared to my VIII, so I may just keep it tame, plus I am a bit more mature now, and want to build it right. With the VIII it was like "lets slap this on and hope it doesn't blow up"

Sweet looking X, congrats on the switch. You'll find it much more comfortable, but like u said , may miss the rawness once and a while. Especially since you got the heavier younger brother. But I'm sure you like the SAWC already

find a big tarmac lot with ASC on. turn wheel all the way to left. In fist gear put gas pedal all the way to the floor. listen to the car: click, pop, tick, and squeak-n-narf notice "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US." then tell chewy to turn off the ASC and ....hhhhaannnngggg oonnnn!!!!!!!!! wooooooooooooo!!!!! you should be able to get in to second gear and throttle steer with slight adjustments. stop the car once dizziness and laughing stops....repeat. you can turn ASC back on too and it will go back to nerf mode at anytime.

this was preformed by non-professionals, this test was preformed with animal, but he liked it. and no it was not in Mexico.

I just ordered my Victory Function front fenders...now all I need is spacers. Im running 18x9.5 +22 with 275s on them. They aren't poking at all, but Im thinking a 15 or maybe even a 20 up front and a 5mm out back....thoughts?

Lol this Made me laugh. This used to be my approach on several of my previous Evos. That's not the case anymore on my X. Quick question, why didn't u keep your evo and just purchase the used X?
Thats one thing I wish I would of been able to do, but oh well love my X
definetely a lot to chose from, which is a great thing.

If it was feasible I would have. I have a one car garage and my driveway only fits one car. I have 2 bikes and all my tools and shit in the garage. The evo goes in the driveway and my suv goes in the street. I wish I could have kept it and had a beast for the weekend and a more tame yet fun evo for a daily.

Understandable, I had limited parking space when this took place as well. Have fun with your new purchase.

or have both like me ^_-.

my VIIII just started for the first time since 2011. I evicted the spiders from my exhaust....moving day is here!!!!!!! still a lot of work to do though. I let the car sit too long after it busted...which is a bad idea.

    anyways
    cheers
