anyone know how i can fix my cable?
i think all of a sudden its firewalled or something and i cant run AIM or alot of websites such as evolutionm.net....
ive been tryin to solve this prob but failed so far...
called the cable company and have been put on hold for a while...so gonna try that later...
anyone got any ideas? or know how to rid me of this possible firewall or watever internet problems i have?
just seems i cant log on to certain sites...

thanks..any help would be appreciated...

what hardware are you using (router, cable modem, etc)

im using cable modem (cox cable :P )
and i run a wireless network b/t my bro and i
it was working fine till a few days ago when i couldnt log on to AIM...
and then i couldnt get onto evolutionm.net...

try unplugging your router and cable modem, then plug in the router first after about a minute, then the cable modem

if that doesnt work, someone might have port forwarding enabled. WHat brand is your wireless router?

my router is the...linksys wireless-b notebook adapter

nope...pluging and unplugging it didnt work...
how does the port forwarding work?

we have 2 labtops that are networked...and we both have the same probs...
cant get on AIM and alot of websites...
i think its the cable problem but im not sure...cant get a hold of the cable company..i guess lots of people are having this problem...

I would check the router settings and make sure nothing got messed up. Open up IE and type in 192.168.1.1, and username and password should both be "admin."

Go into the advanced tab and see if you have any ports blocked or anything. You might also try and get a utility that monitors what your computer is doing over the internet. Sometimes you can get nasty bugs that block/use certain ports to screw with you like this...
