I'm thinking about getting a daily driver (doesn't matter new or used), but it must be a reliable and comfort car. So, which car would you pick for a $15K budget.

Used WRX wagon.

Used Nissan Maxima, my dad had 3 of those and still drives one, none of them gave him any trouble.

A Civic is always a good choice too.

My friend is selling his original 65' right hand drive mini for $6500.00 o.b.o. Just a thought Mark!

Used WRX wagon.

I was thinking about that car too, but I'd ended up modding it again.

That's the point, Mark. Imagine the fun you could have with your beater. Make it a total sleeper. 16" stock wheels, etc.

I would say anything Honda, like an old accord or civic. Or an integra. Something with good gas mileage, low insurance an high reliability.

Or you could buy a new scion for under $15k

We have a 2002 lancer with 34k for under $10k that I could get you a good price on, and if you are interested in something I can keep my eye out for you. After all, it is part of my ob to sell cars!

I wouold get either a 240 or 180. Nice cars and you can drop in a RB26DETT if you fell the need for more power. :skid:

You can pick up a 03' for roughly $12-13K and do a little modding with the left-overs :D

The way to go is an Eclipse GSX or a Gallant VR4. Use everything you take off the EVO. Make it a sleeper. Use some old light 16" racing wheels and the CD player out of your EVO.

Galant VR4 or Eclipse GSX. Use castoffs from the EVO to mod it.

I think the wrx wagon would be a nice buy, who cares if you mod it a little, the xede for the wrx is running somewhere around 5oo bucks now i think, 270 horsepower!!!. Just add the xede, a nice sounding used exhaust from ebay, and maybe an intake and youve got yourself a pretty nice handling car, with 4 doors and a HUGE PRACTICAL trunk, plus the comfort of being an a reliable japanese sports-wagon. I wouldnt think twice

id rather go buy one of those helicopters in the breif case and fly in one of those around town. or i will go purchase a go-kart and trick it out for the streets, maybe even a flying skateboard, or a yellow submarine?

Toyota Matrix. Even when gas is $3\gallon you'll still be getting 30+mpg

What about a Integra GSR...Nice leather and quick...Last forever...Or a TYPE R...ya, integra is c00... as long as you're not gonna do anything to it, so you dont get harassed by the damn cops.

and so you dont have to worry about theft, you may not want to get a gsr or a type r and stick with an LS

It depends on what your purpose. If for pure driving enjoyment and performance and most importantly flexability in tuning, go for a 240sx, silvia or skyline engine and rear wheel drive. Beautiful car.

I got a VW Passat with the 1.8T.
I was about to get the 240sx with SR20DET motor and other mods, but I don't think it is worth it if I still get pulled over by cops for modified exhaust, etc.
