I have seen 2 places where the gauges can be mounted , The most popular is with the side pillar (not for me :( )
Also saw a guy from panama that mounted on his AC controls , since all he needs is AC at full blast , no need for the use of the heater.
But has anyone seen the kit that they have , I have been only told that there is a kit but havent seen it .
It moves your stock radio unit to the bottom part and you are able to place up to 3 gauges where your old unit use to be at .
This is something that im interested , and i would be at least able to run my boost gauge, air/fuel ,and havent decided on the other ..
Does anyone have any info on this , or has it on there car and can post pictures
Thanks ....

Click on the "see my evo here" link and then check out the Sports Meter Kit for a photo. guages are 46mm, so hard to find replacements for. Kit is reasonably priced for what you get - mechanical boost guage, mechanical oil temp and volt meter.

As you can see, I mounted mine where the stock radio goes. Easier to see that way and really easy to do.

can you use any other type of gauges like Apexi or Greddy that you can fit there ??

Yeah, but like I said, they are 46mm. HKS used to do 46mm, but I don't know if you can buy them any more. 2 1/16" might fit.

Ya know evo_007 (his nic on evom.net, has a diff one here I think) has a sweet setup, very clean, with VDO 52mm guages and in the top radio din slot. He just cut holes in a mitsu blank plate for the radio slot. Looks real nice in person.

hey kaisho99 thanks, that is me.
It's a pretty simple setup. Nothing fancy. Just functional and reliable.
I've also got a Pocketlogger that allows me to monitor other parameters, hence why I choose those specific gauges. Any 52mm or 2 1/16" gauges will fit.

I used a drillpress with a 2" holesaw to cut the holes out, but a regular drill or dremel will do. Night time gauge color is a good match to the main factory cluster. Let me direct you to this thread on EvoM, not take anything away from this board, but pics and some general info to some of your questions are there.
