hello all.

well, i want to know if there is much difference in o2 elim DP and regular DP, in terms of HP? not butt dyno, guessing HP. o2 elim DP looks good and sounds good but it's expensive.

600bucks for o2 elim DP with installation??
vs
150bucks for 'regular' DP 3 inch mendrel bend at local muffler shop(of course with installation ^^). few bucks more for flex section.
hmm...

any ideas??

o2 emlim is directly connected to the turbo right? if its 3inch elim all the way out the exhaust I think that will be a grip of hp.

O2 eliminator down pipes are 5 or 6 lb's lighter and flow more then a regular downpipe. I do not think that they flow 450 dollars more though. As long as its mandrel, a regular 3 inch for 150 is a perfectly acceptable alternative.

you should look in to RnR or Vinshu since they make it . Like Vinshu sells the entire turbo back with the 02 eliminator DP for 1050 on there standard exhaust . From what i been told , havent seen it but can be a problem : That area gets pretty hot and with using a SS piping compare to the cast piece that comes from OEM it can crack . Also is a pain in the ass to get too. Not worth it IMO . Some have record it a 5-5whp gains on the dyno . Vinshu has tested there's...

RnR also sells it with there turbo back with a highflow 3' cat for 950.00 a complete kit . Im sure if you plan to run a test pipe it would be a bit cheaper.

They won't crack. They add good spool...and of course the 5 hp gain your qouting is not static but is relative to how much air your flowing and back pressure your trying to eliminate in the exhaust mani.

Yes but if you eliminate the O2 sensor won't your engine throw codes and/or turn on the CEL?

An O2 eliminator downpipe is misnamed, It replaces the cast iron o2 sensor housing with one made of tutbular steel. It still has a bung for the O2 sensor.

They have been misnamed for 14 years now though, it ain't changin' =)

Lol, odd. Good to know now. What a misnomer!

The 02 elim downpipe that we have will spool the turbo about 200-300rpm sooner depending on the mods. I will also say that it will give you between 5-15whp gain.

That is pretty substantial figuring it only cost $100 more. Let me know if there are any other questions on it.

We will also be offering our 02 elim downpipes with external dump unlike anything else you have seen for the EVO.

Finally a answer as to what the fuck it replaces.
