I was looking at picking up a set of SS Ralli Art brake lines...was wondering if anyone had done this mod yet. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I just did mine yesterday along with new carbotech bobcat pads. We did a whole installation how-to on it, hopeully we can get it online this week. The pedal definately feels more responsive, the brake rotors had to be resurfaced so I cant really tell the true performance until the rotors bed in.

THe ralliart brake lines are very nice, but expensive.

How much are they? You could make them for about 10 - 12 a line.

how much did you pay for them ???
how long did it take you to install them and also did you decide to run a different brake fluid or you are still running the same one that came from factory ??

THe ralliart ones are $299 for the set. The Road Race ones I got were about 100 bucks.

I have the Goodridge lines. The center fastener on the road race ones are a little small and the clips have to be "adjusted" to compensate for them. I highly recommend changing the fluid at the same time. It doesn't take long. Coolguy went with AP racing blue and I have motul RBF600. Check out this handy link for boiling points:

While you are it it, if your wallet can handle it, it's a great time to change the pads, as the calipers are empty and they slide out.

What-ever you go for the new lines will definately improve the braking.

I am waiting for my Endless lines to arrive from Japan (along with some Endless 2-piece rotors). They are silicone-lined stainless steel, so they should be very durable and give great pedal feel. I'll be changing my pads at the same time, too. So far it's down to Porterfield R4S or the Carbotech Bobcats...

Price of the Endless lines? On par with the Ralliart, but you guys know me I'm a badge whore.

There is no effective difference between ralliart, RRE, Endless, or make your own's.

Just price.

blurr

there will be little to no difference. RalliArt's have the disadvantage of coming from Europe were the Dollar is very weak right now so everything is more expensive and being branded Ralliart $.

no , you don't need to run motul . But to get the best out of upgrading the lines . It would be a nice upgrade to go with ..

You don't need to go with motul. However as you will be taking most of the fluid out of the system you may as well replace the stock stuff with something better.

Peanut Butter mixed with Bacardi 151? I don't think that would ever boil over!!
