Subject: Mueller Hell Ride at Willow Springs Big Track

Ok. While I'm still excited about this absolute craziness, I must
tell this story. I for one am not one that finds it necessary to
help Mueller's ego out at all. The damn thing is big enough to
shadow most all the big heads in this club, but this story must be
told. Must give credit where credit is due.

I have never been scared in a car. Been with crazy ass drivers
weaving on freeways, passing at 90+ in the shoulder, even drove with
Mueller in his red car at Streets of Willow last DSM day. But today
I was F&cking scared. The big track is *fast*. I hop in the car
with this crazy beast for a joy ride. By the 2nd turn I start to
realize how Iketani on Initial D passed out in just 3 turns with
Takumi. I was like "$hit! $hit!, how the F is this car staying on
the road!! $hit here comes another wall in the distance!!" There I
was mashing my right foot into the floor board, holding on to the
door with my right hand, grabing the seat with my left, clenching all
my stomach muscles, shoulder muscles... my entire upper body doing
everything it could to stay in the Recaro seat of the basically stock
Evo. All the car really had was JICs. How wild of a ride could it
be??? Well F&ck me in the Goat A$$!!! That damn car needs a harness
to hold you in. I didn't learn jack $hit about the "line" in 2
laps. I was just concerned with my life.

After the final turn into the front straight, I regain enough of my
mind to think about looking at the speedo. I see 130+ as we mash on
the brake to make the hard left turn. I watch as we do over 90
through the 1st big right hand sweeper, sliding through the entire
thing. I sware we must have slid our asses around the entire track.

They shut the track down and checker flagged us and Mueller
says "so?" All's I could say was "F&ckin A, that was fast." I was
shaking after I got out of the car for a good 10 minutes. Damn that
was fast.

Anyways - I had a great time messing with suspension settings all day
and talking mad trash in the pits while watching Mueller pass 600 hp
race prepped Vipers, trailered race prepped S2000's, and just about
every other noisy, full on raced out, peice of $hit pile out there.
Damn - I just believe more and more that there ain't much out there
worth a damn other than DSMs (Evo's included of course). Screw all
those other dumb bastards trying to make any other make of car fast.
They are dumb, dumb, dumb. This Evo sounded like an electric car in
comparison to the others. It just hummed by everybody. Fricking
thing only had 3" exhaust (cat still intact), ECU reflash, and JICs
tuned Mueller style. And it pretty much OWNED the track with Mueller
behind the wheel. The car even had a stock airbox and everything. I
can only imagine how the RRE Evo with 500+ hp would have spit tarmac
in the faces of every shitbox it passed.

That's all I have to say. I need to go chill out now.

Should be a few Evo's there and a whole lotta DSMs this Sunday the 8th. Don't forget to consider the DSMs our older, American cousin. Evo people should be learning a lot from the DSM crew.

Does anybody here want to Caravan up, and meet sometime tomorrow morning at I-5 and Rosecrans Ave. or somewhere north of there?
