hey,

just wondering which boost controller are you people using out there? are you happy with it ? tell us your story

ive done so manyyyyy research and its like for quite some time before i decide on my profec b since heard LOTS n LOTS of good thing about it UNTIL i bought this and had some tuning problem with it then i did my research again and guess what this time I found a few thread by the evom saying profec b sucks and so all.......DANG maybe i should get the evc v or some other boost controller instead

had a profect b, it died on me, selinoid stuck open, replaced, second one the screen died, had it replaced, third one couldnt hold pressure very well, only good thing? it matched my greddy turbo timer. sold it and installed a TurboXS MBC, set it to 22 psi and in the immortal words of ron popiel "set it and forget it"

dude u got like 3 profec b died on you? man....either that profec b really suck big time or your car is too hot to handle by profec b...LOL :)

I bought the Power Enterprise boost controller/gauge this weekend. Once I find a mount I like, I'll let you guys know how well it works. I plan on running 1.5 bar (about 21 psi).

That's the one. For $400, it's hard to beat. I got the white face one to match the Ralliart instrument cluster. Now I just need a good-looking 60mm pod to mount it in. Rob, any ideas?

whats the safest boost you can run on 91 without detonation?

i run 22 on straight 91. however i have noticed difference with brands of gas.. on chevron i seem to have 0 knocking, on Shell, i have between 1-5 and and on mobil i have really high amounts. between 15-25

all at WOT and all on the S-AFC display for knock correction.

talking bout chevron, whenever I use chevron, i feel my car is slower(i dont know maybe its just me) :( but 76 is :thumbup:

I have 93 octane, so 21 psi is no problem... (94 if I can find a Sunoco).

oh ya 76 is a definite thumbs up.. love it, but the closet 76 to me is too far to drive to get gas..


consider yourself lucky about one thing outside of cali. gas that can't be also used to water your lawn....fuggin SCAQMD

Yep, 93 is the ONLY saving grace out here. I spent 20 minutes de-icing my car after work today... WEAK SAUCE (in honor of Bevo)

Just installed my SBC id last night. So far it seems to be a really good unit. I just did a very basic tune last night, and from what i can tell, it is very consistent. Also having the dual solenoid, gives it very fast response. I doesnt seem to be spiking at all. Ill post some dyno charts once i have Brainstorm tune my car.
