I was there when mine rolled off the truck. It only 0.2 mi. on it when it landed in the service bay for delivery prep. I even rode along with the tech for the initial dealership check-out.

Whats your point on that thread? My car had 7 miles on it and when I picked it up it had 16. I never had a problem and I had a buschur stage 4 on it. Your explanation is as bad as the guys that believe that you need to baby your car for 1000 miles on break in. It has no merit. By the way 10/30 oil is pretty damn thin so it flows easy with minimal heat. 4G motors warm really quick, dont know where you get this 10 minute BS. Are you a mechanic or have you built any motors? If not, please dont give opinions that may scare or affect peoples thoughts on buying an evo.

Keep an eye out for this guy.....He'll be one of the guys Starting one of those "Why did my Evo blow up", "My Evo's making a weird noise", "I hate Mitsubishi, they voided my warranty". You should give your car ATLEAST 10 mins to warm up before you start really getting on it. No Im not a mechanic, no Im not an engineer, but I know it's important to let the fluids warm up to they're optimal operating temperature before you start pushing the car.

Case in point! This is the reason I will not buy a 18 mile EVO!

3 Miles

I watched them back it off the truck that came straight from the Long Beach Harbor. Even sat it the mechanics bay and helped with the PDI (I was frequently hanging out in the shop anyway because I was working for ERAC at the time) I guess I'm lucky that I was able to see and participate in the process.

mine had 17 miles when I first saw it in the showroom.... then when I picked it up it had 60 since I didnt buy it from the dealership where I first saw it.

I bought it from another dealership, and they swapped EVO's, hence the higher milege.... but who cares, my car is strong and doesnt burn oil..
