how does it compare to the canon G2 ?

i'd say it's probably comparible, but G2 is probably better. both same MP, but G2 is a higher end camera, and it's a little more bulkier. I think the G2 has more manual features than the S400, but the S400 still has quite a few manual settings that you can set. I like the s400 because it takes really good pictures and the fact that it is so small too.

the G2 is a lot older though ya? I heard the G2 is really good for taking shots of things.. like.. cars, sights, scenery etc.. but not too good on people.

Last i heard canon released some sort of firmware upgrade on the G2 to correct that though.
