I am planning on having my muffler guy, Ricardo, make me a straight pipe from the cat and have it come out right in front of the right rear tire.

My question is this. If you get pulled over, my our friendly police, what will happen? Could they impound your car? Fixit Ticket?

Anyone, that knows anyone, that has gotten caught with no muffler, please post and let me know!!

are u trying to move your muffler to the side instead of the back of the car? if thats the case i think thats ok since ive seen a mustang have the muffler located at the side of the car which i think is really a cool and good idea to do it

also heard from my friend saying that if the muffler located to the side, it will gain some hp since the air travel time is shorter since it goes side way rather than going all the way at the back of the car (i dont know whether this true or not, just sharing of what i've heard before)

ive no idea though about the fine or impound and every fancy thing that the cops can do to you

If you're bypassing emissions equipment and you are caught, I believe the fine is over $1,000. Someone correct me if I'm wrong (but don't flame).

I believe, with the new laws, they can take your car away? But I know this for sure, the fine for straight pipping is about $2000, and this is from an experience. Not my car though
