Oil in your intake is normal. Either you just drive it really hard or you're overfilling your car with oil. That tube that comes from the top of the valve cover is the oil dump tube. When there's too much oil pressure in there it will dump some oil out. Getting an oil catch can will keep the intake pipe clean as a whistle.

Yeah, took me a little over 2 hours to install the intake cause of all the junk you have to replace. In the end it was worth it though. I'm very impressed with the intake.

Steel wool will work

ok...can't remember what i posted earlier before my post was edited...but yea...here i go trying to remember what i forgot...

the oil in the intake is from the vapor of oil from the crankcase ventilation. a simply oil catch can will not help much as most cans are just empty inside. using some kind of mesh inside( like the aforementioned steel wool) will help the oil to condense inside the can itself and prevent it from getting into the intake path. i'm kind of wary of using steel wool as it is prone to falling into pieces...of which those pieces can easily destroy a turbine...but it is the general idea. but yea...on a side note...jeff, our sti buddy and i have decided to make our own....let us know if ur interested =)

well, i have the RS intake and what i felt was little more power up top. THis is because the intake shifts the torque curve up a few hundred rpms and probably leans out the fuel too. However, the throttle response is less sensitive now as I need to press down more on the gas from the light.

yeah the response time is way way way slower.... but rob said hes car is way faster now... may be we need more mods....
