im down to get that kit, i was also thinking of getting the mini racing batteries, which will help reduce weight and room in the engine

the relocation almost makes the car 50-50 right? in regards to weight distrabution.

i relocated my battery to my trunk in my lancer. i am sure it is pretty much the same damn thing. I also helped urbanknight do his relocation. I got my kit at pepboys for like 50 bux. I think he got his at like autozone or some place similar. You can find it damn near anywhere. It is alot easier than I thought it would be.

I can give you tips or help if you need.

For the record I still have the relocation however I just bought a race battery to put back upfront becuase almost all drag strips wont let you run with a relocated batter without a full cut off switch mounted outside the car.

Nah you'll never see 50/50 I've pulled out the IC bottle (-20 lbs) Battery (-36lbs) put in trunk (about another -20lbs) and added the BuschurRacing BFFMIC ( big F'ing FMIC rrr) and got the car to 58/42 I think with another 8k$'s you could get 1 more % back to the rear (too rich for my blood).. the trick after these easy weight transfers is to get the car balanced using areo....(add more to the rear to get a 50/50 @ about 100MPH IMHO...

Is there a specific kit to buy or does everyone just do it themselves?

Hyperground Universal type "L" Part#HG00003R (red cables) I got mine through Vivid and it has all the cables to do engine bay grounding and the relocate...

I got a small (lighter) battery and a box and I am doing the wiring myself 'cause I like to do that stuff. I will post pics and stuff when it's done. Going to try and make it as "pretty" as possible while still being safe.

I have heard most tracks wont let you run with the battery in the back unless you have some sort of switch is this true?

This is true.

second any relocation from stock requires the switch, even if you move it into the cabin somewhere. I spoke with the techs from Cal Speedway and they said, if it aint where the factory put it, then it needs a cut off switch that you can get to from the rear outside the car.
