 Yep thats me I have decided the diffs in the car are just too loud, and that on long drives the noise in the car starts to bug.

I wanted to know if any one has used better/different fluids in the diffs and what kind of noise effect it had. Case in point I know I can use fluid to make it louder, why not quieter?

Also going to Dyno mat the doors, any other ideas would be nice.

Thanks for the imput.

How about Dyno matting/foaming/coating the whole interior.

you might have a blown transfer case, I read a couple of threads at evom about loud noises from the tranny and having a blown transfer case.

It would clunk, and pulsate while you were driving... not just a noise but you could feel it.

Here's a quick, cheap and easy solution:

either that or get a better stereo, or go buy a quieter car. The evo is not the right car for you if you don't like hearing the noise of the drive train or feeling the bumps in the road.

I'm using Redline MT-90 for the transmission and Redline 75w90 for front and rear. The 3K decel noise is a lot less than with stock fluid.

thats exactly the noise I cant stand sounds like something is loose in the car when you back off the gas around 3K? dealer says its normal I think they are full of it but who knows.

Also I know the evo is loud but dynomat made a huge difference in the wrx so why not try it in the evo?

Mitsu issued a TSB saying the decel noise is normal
