But no I have a problem:

I was going to buy GHL and Walbro which would have cost about 900

now it has gone up to 1200 because intro prices are over...

so now its

Perrin TB for 1019 vs. GHL for 1099

OR

Brietling Watch 1035

Any thoughts?

get the exhaust, come on chances are you wont wear the watch all the time, you'll take your exhaust everywhere you go. price divided by use equals value.

thats the cool thing about watches that cost that much they come with a hardened crystal face that is damn near scratch proof, and this one is water proof to 5000 feet.

The crystal is a sapphire crystal, it is basically artificial diamond formulated which means it's impossible to scratch. I used to wear a 2600 dollar Omega Speedmaster everday, it is the most reliable, indestructible watch I have ever owned mainly because it has a titanium body, but now I'm giving it a rest with my GShock so a 1200 Breitling is not unfathomable. The Omega Speedmaster X-33 is the same watch used for US space missions and is anti-magnetic and can withstand 1500 G's of shock, we used to joke that in a nuclear war all that would be left would be roaches and Omegas.

Ive got an $1800 Movado Museum Valor that's indestructable. It's entirely made of Tungtsen Carbide Steel with a saphire lense. It's said to be entirely scratchproof.

Omegas are pretty tight. A couple of years ago I used to rock an Omega Seamaster (Bond...James Bond), then I gave it to my little brother. I now rock a tag chrono everyday. It's a great sport watch and I tend to like the contemporary looks rather than the classic (semi-boring) Omegas and somebody poor water on my face boring Rolexes. $2600 for a daily watch though, I dunno, I like watches...obviously...but everytime I buy a new watch I keep thinking "Hey that was wheels and tires" or "Hey that was a full Muelerized JIC setup, plus lunch for a month" Hehehehehe.

I have a 300 dollar ( and i though that was a lot :? ) and is sitting in my bookshelf , collecting dust ....Only use it about a week, I could'nt give my self a reason to spend that much on a watch . But then agaon im not in to such items ..
