Question for you: When I explain the way that a dealer tech looks at warranty, and why we don't like to do warranty jobs, why do I get flamed? I just tell it like it is. I am the last person in the world to deny a warranty because of mods and such. I just like to make it clear why a dealer may not cover certain complaints. Should I just stop putting in my 2 cents?? I thought that I was helping, that's all. Or is the razzing I get just fun and games too? If so, ok, I can take it. But if people are actually mad at me for not saying, "yeah, they should warranty your screw-up", then I'll just keep my mouth shut.

I am a service writer/tech at HB Mitsubishi, and was on the Mitsubish rally team usa as a tech (when Rhys and Lauchlin were driving) so that is were I am coming from. I know evo's and I know how the dealers work, and that is why I am telling these guys the things I do.

I was just asking because I had you involved in a thread and figured I would get a response. You work at a dealer, so you know the way warranty works too, then. You know how hard it is going to be to get Evo warranty covered, and you know that not all dealer techs are crooks. That is all I'm trying to say.

I do agree with you on that. Not ALL dealers and tech's are crooks, in fact dealers have a bad name in general all becuase of a sellect few, but the unfortunate thing is those few effect everyone. As far as getting things warrantied by Mitsu, not at all a problem for our store. We have full-impowerment and favor with the corprate office. We have gotten paid on every claim so far, but for those dealers that are not full-impowerment it is extreemly hard to get paid. So yes you are right, in a sence, but you need to examine the full view first before assuming responsability to the customer.

NO way! a while back road and track did a article on the M3, S4, Porsche Carrera, and evo.

stock pretty much porsche overall best car, then m3, s4 beat the evo in some parts, and then evo

with 4700 mods evo beat all 4 cars in all areas of proformance, from speed, breaking, handling, and acceleration. But in terms of speed if we spend 1500 we can rape all cars!!! M3 is a great car dont get me wrong, but i raped 1 on the freeway the other day. im sure it was stock, but still i only had 3' cat back, pulley, boost controller, and intake interms of speed mods. thats about 1000 wroth of mods. the stock evo i think in the article out proform the m3 in terms of handling. we r soo lucky we have a evo!

I know my mom is kinda weird for getting the M3 over say a 7 or 5 series (exceot for the fact that the 3 series are the only ones for 2004 that aren't god auful ugly), especially since she will never race it or anything. But it is still an awesome vehicle. Totally different car from an Evo. There is no point in comparing the two. It is like saying that an Escalade is better than a Mack truck :?:. All depends on what you are looking for. That paddle shift trans is pretty cool, though.

Yes, ugly, IMO. Besides, that's like saying "You spent 30K on an Evo, why didn't you buy a Diamante?" Anyway, she got the M3 after considering the likes of Mercedes and Lexus. She isn't all about the power and all that, just like the aggressive look of the M3. She was considering an AMG, but the 100k+ price tag was a bit of a turnoff :lol: . I guess I get to reap the benifits though, since I will get to drive it every once in a while (I hope).

5 series is trying to hard, but 7 series just say baller status. All my co-worker has BMW 7 series S class and I got an evo LOL. Oh well I like the tank look and it just says u made it.

I am waiting for my stateboard test and pass so I can reach to their status.
