I am sorry to post this question, but I am a newbie to this. I just purchased an evo 8, and am looking to put some rims on my evo 8. I have a friend out of state that has a wheel that I like and is off his maxima. I am not sure what year maxima, but he told me that his rim is 5x114.3, with tires size 245-45-17, and the offset of 38mm. Everything seems to sound right with the tire size and offset, and I know my bolt pattern is 5x114.3. My question is..............this rim should fit my evo 8 correct? And isnt my evo 8 offset also 38mm, so shouldnt this fit that same as mine stocks but with wider tires. If someone with some wheel knowledge please confirm that I am ok to purchase this wheel. Thanks for your help everyone.

Depends on spoke design and width of the wheel! How wide are the wheels? Reason I ask is that I've seen a set of 8.5" with a +40 fit, then the exact same wheel in 9" +40 not fit. The wider tires are ok. A lot of us run the Falken Azenis 245/45 17 no problems.

My friend has work emotion cr on his evo8 17x8 +32mm offtest, nice fit and finish, no clearance problems. If you wanna go plus1 18x8.5 with +30-35 mm offset will work. :)
