too much oil?

i just did the frist oil change. but i added too much oil.

any ideas on what should i do with that?

sorry . yeah . it's above the high line and about the from low to high line

So it's about an inch above the high line. I know too much oil in the 4G63 can be bad because the oil pressure is wickedly high. Unfortunately I'm not sure how much is too much. Someone who does will probably chime in.

One way of taking out the excess oil would be to buy a new clean oil drain pan, remove the plug and let some oil drain out. The only thing is it will probably get really messy if ou try to put the plug back before it's done draining. So you could just let it drain completely then put the right amount of oil back.

The distance between low and high is 1 quart. A quart overfilled isn't desirable, although should be okay. If you are worried about it, the easiest method is to loosen the oil filter and drain the oil that way. Taking the drain plug out is too hard to control the oil flow with.

Did you use one of those 5 quart Mobil 1 jugs?

if u r oil is between low and high that means u r okay! when u r over the top then thats too much! 4-5 bottles of oil is just right depending on how u drive!
