Hey everyone,

A quick question. What tires size should I get for my 18 x 8.5, 235/40/18 or 245/40/18? I'm stock height, not lowering it for awhile.

245 will work but you failed to mention offset +40 to +30 should be ok. Anything else might rub..it would be wheel dependent.

245 for sure. Robi, it is good to see you posting. Wife troubles will definitely keep me away from RRE tonight. I'm shooting for tomorrow night.

Mine is rubbing with 245/40/18 on the same size wheels, but only under full compression and full lock. Your call...

I had 18x8.5 volk TE37's wrapped in BFG KD 245/40's. They rubbed in the rear, and on the extreme inside front (on the wheel well). Proper alignment fixed the rubbing in the front, but you need to roll those rear fenders, unless you have an offset that tucks the rears in a bit more. This has all been said before though.

I also see 17x8.5 wheels, even running a 40 offset having to roll the fenders with a 255. I'm going to put 255/40's on the stock wheel and doubt that I will have to roll the fenders, we'll see. I only slightly rolled the fenders for the 18's, and am willing to completely roll them under if necessary. It's not that big of a deal. You can't see any difference when looking from the outside. On Mark's car with 17x9 volk CE28n's with +35 (I think, may be +30) the fenders had to be not only rolled, but pounded out a bit. But that's also running the Mueller JIC coils which tuck in the rear.
