Here is a chart I found for different types of Project MU pads:

Anyone try the 777 or 999 pads on the track please post your experiences!

The right side of the graph indicates higher operating temperatures.

I appologize for reviving such an old thread.Â* I am in the market for some new brake pads.

My friend has the Project Mu Level Max900i pads. His car is a daily driver and doesn't track his car. He beats the crap out of it and drives like a maniac.

He says that his brakes stop on a dime when warmed up, but when cold it still stops like the stock brembo pads. He's on stock rotors still.

Anyone else have these pads??

I'm thinking about getting some, so many pads to choose from.

I drive pretty aggressive. I plan to do some track days in the near future.

EDIT: I'm gonna go w/ the Endless CC-X pads! Finally made my decision.

never be apologetic for searching and asking a question in a related thread.

the level max900 is the replacement for the titan kai it has a very high coef of friction and works well at the track. it makes tons of noise though whether you bed or not.

it's actually almost the exact same pad as the ccx from endless... i'm sure marketing people will cry differently but they fit the exact same market and are of the same quality.

is ferrodo 2500 comparable with the B+ pads and HAWK HPS?

I've got the Level Max Pads and yes they are very noisey. I haven't had the chance to track them but once they warm up they have excelent stopping power. I'm using stock disc's and they seem to wear out the rotors alot faster than the stock pads. I did bed them in and used anti-seize on the back plates and still noisey but if you don't mined like me they are worth the extra bucks.

if you plan to use them for DD i wouldnt go with anything higher then the Level max 900(replaced the Titan kais) if you are a hardcore guy LOL racing 999 or 777 -expensive pads though-
if you want something between then i would choose the 3000+ Ferrodo.
both the 2500 ferrodo and the level max 900 pads are great (keep in mind and some one already mentioned it, the max 900 pads are a bit more noisy than the Ferrodo 2500pads.
Hawk also makes great pads as well..

My car is my DD and I bought the Hawk HPS and they are loud as hell. Kinda irritating if you ask me, but I just bought some Project MU Pads and im going to swap them out this weekend. I'll let you know how they come out.

That's funny because I had Hawk HPS prior to the Project Mu's and the Hawks were quiet too. But the Hawks just don't have the same bite I have come to appreciate in performance braking.

did you keep the shims ???
you can always get these ... it helps with heat issues, specially at the track... every little bit helps :)
