Totally worth it IMO :p

Mines light enough that cops can see me just fine so there's no reason for alarm. Cost me $175 for all 5 windows using Llumar (lifetime warranty nationwide)


Front window is the same as rear.....see? cuts down on glare but you're visable

mirror'd does block UV like the rest but I would think that would be a sure fire po-po magnet. you can't see jack through those things.

mirror blocks as good if not better than regular, since the metallic acts like a sun block. it it much better than regular, in 105 degree weather from vegas the windows were barely warm right up against them. warranty is lifetime as well. at night the tint is non-existant, so at night you can see right in, its only in direct sunlight is it mirror-like. so that is the advantage, but the disadvantage is yes in sulight the limo-mirror i have is a sure-fire cop magnet. but most people dont even notice it on my car for obvious reasons.

i just had mine done two weeks ago. Went with dark luminar. on a white car it looks great and it keeps the interior temp cooler. Plus it protects the rear decklid/seats from fading over time. Go big and get it tinted!

I don't have an evo but I have 15% all around (except windshield) and I'm down here in Torrance LA. So far not problems with po-pos (knock on wood). Tint is just awesome. Privacy, good looks and best of all it really does block EV really well so a) the car stays cool b) my white ass is prone to cancer, so having the tint has been awesome so far, until it costs me in a ticket lol.

If you go to the optomitrist (sp) and make your eyes tear up when he/she (have to be politically correct) gives you the light sensitivity test. Then ask for a note saying that you have light sensitivity and show it to the cop and bingo bango no fucking ticket. It's actually written in the CVC that if you have light sensitivity it is legal to have tint and I believe all you need to prove it is that note. If you're a pale SOB with blue/green eyes you probably have light sensitivity anyway.

Crappolla, I had just gone to the eye doc... Heard about this before on ISnet, someone had copied and paste the whole CVC and highlighted that part of it. But I figured you really had to have a substantial eye problem.

IMO... If your going to do anything ... interesting in your car .... tint =)... If your afraid of the sun like I am =) Tint.. if not... then dont. I personally dont like it when ure waiting for a red light or driving on the freeway for people to stare at you and ure car. So much pressure while your driving. =)

Just got my tint today. 20% in the 3 rear windows, 20% windshield strip, 50% in front windows. Cops shouldn't notice the 50% in the fronts since i had those in my prior car and never had a problem.
