I will be up in Woodland Hills doing Dyno Flash tuning on 7/30 and 7/31/04 for anyone who may be intesrested. Both street tuned full custom tuning and base flashes will be available.

Re-tunes on all dyno flash customers who already have a reflash are only $350 for the reflash and 2 hours of tuning time.

Please PM me or call at 203-515-4110 if you want to make a appointment.

Also - I will be attending the SoCalEvo meet on 08/01 - I am looking forward to meeting all the SoCalEvo guys and also seeing all my LA customers

Any customers who book a custom tune on 7/30 or 7/31 can get my services free to fine tune and adjust the car as needed on the dyno if you are going to dyno the car at the 8/01 meet

Also - this time we will be throwing a organized Evo owners meet with some food / refreshments etc up at Woodland hills on Saturday night. The last time we had a really nice turn out and had some pizzas but it was all spontaneously arranged. This time we will be inviting all evo owners to join us.

Al will be making a special trip out to see the Cali folks. He does not have a shop here, that I know of.

As for me, I'm hoping to be at the XS event on Sunday.

I spoke to Al this morning, and I think he plans on attending that as well (at least for part of the day).

I do my tuning on the road on 101 up north of Woodland hills - really an ideal location for road tuning a car.

For those who prefer - there is a awd dyno jet at Chatsworth which we can use - although it would cost you an additional $250 for the hour and 1/2 to 2 hours we need to properly tune an evo

Prob best to get the road tune then throw it onto a dyno later to get the numbers if you want to see how its running

Al, what time slots are available on Friday the 30th? Is there a chance I can change my time slot, since it's going to be really hot on saturday afternoon.

Dynoflash
07-14-2004, 08:21 PM
I have not yet finalized the details on the Friday spots - it really depends on how many bookings we get

BTW - high heat is good fo our tuning as we can really get a good handle on the heat soaked detionation we like to avoid at all costs.

I suggest you keep your current spot for now and consider moving later depending on what time I fly in on Friday

DynoFlash, this is sort of a repost from another thread. Will I be able to make good power with your Base Flash on 91 Octane? I would like to get a full road tune but cannot afford it right now. Would you recommend running 19 PSI on 91 octane after the Base Flash?

Dynoflash
07-20-2004, 10:01 PM
The base flash is certainly a vast improvement over the stock ecu which I can only tell you is a total disaster tune on the 91 octane - if you don't believe me LOG your ign timing with a OBDII scan tool and see for yourself how bad things get with that stock tune !

For $199 the base flash gets you decent driveability and a better power band

Also - you'll save on the cost of the full custom tune for next time we return to LA as its only $350 after you get the base flash

I suggest you get the base flash on Saturday - take it for a two day test drive - if your not totally satisfied I'll remove it on Sunday and refund your entire payment - sound fair?

Sounds good. I'll try to see if I could get the money by then, otherwise I'll just send in my ECU to you at a later date.

Al, I just installed the Hallman MBC (as instructed on evom.net), and noticed a slight boost taper towards the redline (about 1-1.5 psi). Is this normal?

Yeah man I'm all squared away. Replace intake, fuel pump, MBC, BOV + reflash = kickass power...again. 8)

A/F's look great, no pulled timing and no tickets from CHP = a damn good thing. lol

any dyno time?

I think he wants to run on the same dyno... which is a good thing

when you jump from dyno to dyno it's hard to know what the fuck is going on with your car
