Basically what we're doing is just taking names of the people at the meet that want to dyno. We'll then draw names from a hat and pick the 9 dyno spots then raffle off the 10th spot. Does that sound ok?

I like it, it sounds fair and raises some money for the club.

That's very fair given the size of the list who plan to attend the event.

I'm In for the luck of the draw.

good plan- changes the focus to the event again which is more important for the 90 folks not on the dyno...

We will start taking names on the day of the meet. This will prevent no-shows and wanna-be's who say they will on the forum and not pay up for the actual dyno time.

That sounds very fair, but not all that interesting....

10 stock, Evolution newbies making dyno runs would certainly not be very interesting.
Fair (by all means) but not interesting.

With all the exposure that will be at the event, may I suggest we nominate 10 members that best represent the SoCal forum??

I'd imagine there are at least 10 members in good standing that can make over 400HP. Nominate them, and put them to a vote/pole.

my two cents worth of black sheep ideas.

Don't forget, the nine who jump on the dyno still have to pay for their three pulls. How many stock Evo owners are going to throw down $50 to find out how much stock hp they are putting to the ground?

How many people bought Evos and think 50 dollars is a lot of money? But for that matter, how many people bought evos and left them stock??

You could also argue that the higher HP cars already have been on the dyno and don't have a need to re-test. But whatever, it was just a suggestion.

Like I said the raffle is a perfectly fair way of allocating spots.

Anyone know where the raffle list is? Also, is that a free raffle or what?

If you plan to mod the car, you will have to get a baseline dyno when the car is stock.

If I don't get to dyno my car that day, how much does it cost to have my car dyno'ed on a "regular" day?

Thanks.

Ok you guys win, I guess I should of thought of more reasons why a stock Evo might get on the dyno.

SoCalEvo.net members will get special pricing for power passes from XS for a set amount of time after the dyno day.
