carbon wing is evolving

i think my carbon wing is changing to this brownish black/gold color. looking at the inner sides of my wing where it recieves less sunlight looks black/grey. the top part of the wing is the only portion that seems to have this gold color.
its kinda weird since i mainly zaino'ed the carbon wing, and it has uv protection. anyone else have this gold looking color?

see, thats strange. Ive got 19k, never waxed it, and its still the same color as the underside, and as it was when i bought the car.

VIS CF hoods (Under the Stillen FLag) come with a warning to keep them out of the direct sunlight, otherwise discoloration can occur.

I'd hope the clear coat on our wings has a lot of UV protection. But maybe it's not enough if you're in direct sunlight 24/7....errr....12/7....

Dude, if you're car is gonna be parked OUTSIDE at UCI, you've got bigger problems than just the wing. Its almost as bad as UCR.

I agree. My DSM got broken into in the Middle Earth parking lot a few years ago. The stole my gauges, stereo, and ripped out the entire center dash section. Of course the thieves were stupid enough to not steal the control units for the gauges, my AFC, Profec, or Turbo Timer.

HOLY CRAP!!!! are you serious?? i always thought irvine was such a nice area too. i wont be dorming at middle earth though, i got into arroyo vista, but i think thats worse since its where all the frats/sororities houses are. man, i was really looking forward to put in more mileage by driving around in the irvine area too~ i only have 1069 miles after almost 3 months.
i guess this is for the better since my car can be inside the garage then away from the sun.

Your car's appearance is covered under the factory warranty. They should cover it until 3 years/36000 miles. As long as the issue was not caused by damage of any kind (ie scratched paint, rock chips, harsh chemicals, etc.). Basically if the spoiler fades or discolors you should be able to get it covered. Although judging from the So Cal dealer horror stories I have read, good luck...
