Potentially stupid body question

I'd probably be more informed if I drove an Evo, but I drive a WRX. Frankly, I'd rather have an Evo.

But the question. How similar are the Evo VII and VIII bodies? Up front in particular. Is it possible to stick a VII front end on, or is there an aftermarket kit that looks like the VII's front for the VIII? Just curious. Thanks a bunch, guys.

Not surprising. I suspect it's akin to the 02/03-04/05 swap in a WRX.

Any "look-alike" kits out there? This is all just out of curiosity, I wouldn't do it if I happened across an Evo.

You only need to change the hood and front bumper. (and remove the USDM bumper reinforcement beam cause there is no room in the "stubier" VII front end (check with Dan @ vivid he's had a C-west evo 7 bumper/Hood since last september)

I got my 02 WRX for a little less than $19,000 with 11,000 miles on it last year. That's a damn good price no matter how you look at it. Unless something awful happens and insurance pays up, she's my baby.

Thanks for the info, everybody. The front ends looked so similar... I just had to know if it was possible.
