I have a friend that want's to purchase my Evo Recaros for a set of aftermarket seats...

So far I'm looking at the Sparco Milano because of it's adjustability and similar lateral support...So my question is:

Does anyone know of an aftermarket seat that offers similar if not better lateral support to the Evo Recaros with some additional lumbar support (Evo seats kill my lower back on longer drives) with some comfort... I've sat in a set of Milanos and like them a lot ... if there are any seat gurus out there I'd love some feedback.

Sparco Pro 2000's - I think Retardon... oops I meant his brother, Ricardon aka Rich has that seat. I would also check out the Sparco USA website.

The evo2 feels better than the pro2000

maybe I should have mentioned the car is still my daily driver so adjustability is still important...

I tend to prefer Sparcos over the recaro because I have pretty side shoulders and the spaces for the 4 points on the recaro are too close and pinch my neck... Sparco is spaced wider.

I had a set of Torinos in my 240, and they were a little tight for me in the rib cage section. I have heard that they Milanos are a bit bigger in that section. Oh well, good luck with your search. 8)

240lb's. I'm a big mofo! Even when I was around 200lb's they were kinda slim in the upper torso and lumbar support area. As far as I know, Sparco seats are smaller because europeans are smaller in stature than Americans. This same principal holds true for the Japanese seat manufacturers like Bride.

LOL bride seats... their show seats.

Those bride are meant for them skinny japanese people. Just look @ how they're shape. I've set in them and their pretty hard on my back, their uncomfortable, and does not cushion you as the sparco evo 2. I weigh 195 and I've felt both seats and sparco evo 2 IMHO is the better seat or more for the 190+ people.

I'd be all over the Sparco evo2 if it were adjustable ... since this is my daily driver. I think the verdict on this end is the Milano for a street seat.. I can always pick up a head harness for it if I want also. I really like the lumbar support that the milano gives.

I have the torinos in my evo and theyre great. With the RMR brackets they sit a little lower and fit perfect.

Im getting Bride Brix II soon. Im a small asian =). 5' 6" ~5' 7" weighing 145. =) I think Brides the way to go for me.. My back hurts with the stock recaros. I even bought a tempurpedic small pillow for lumbar support for the stock recaros but still no good. *ponder*. maybe i need to find regular seats.

Tarmac02

Sparco does make that adjustable lumbar pillow, you should check that out,...but yeah stock recaros suck on the lower back

Same as the Evo but this seat is 1”1/4 (3 cm) wider in its inner sizes. The Evo 2 is designed for larger drivers (over 200lbs).

uhm.... bride makes the best seats in the world... yeah keep in mind they are sized for japanese people. i sat in a bride exas (i guess currently the most popular seat) and i can't say anything bad about it. plus it's featherlight even being made of carbon kevlar. sparco makes the best seats in the world too hahaha, they just make 'em in fatter sizes too. momo... now there's real show seats. but i wouldn't mind having carbon fiber momo cups.

for me, I hate the stock Recaros...my shoulders are a bit too wide for it and so I just sit a bit crooked to fit in. I do not look forward to long drives.

I have Sparco Milano's and I really like them...They are comfortable and have great support...I am 6'0 185...

They work well and look good...Just don't get red and it fades quickly (mine have at least)...

I stopped by autobacs once to just see what was there and they had a bunch of seats on display that you could try out(sparcos, bride, etc)

Fine information, many thanks to the author. It is puzzling to me now, but in general, the usefulness and importance is overwhelming. Very much thanks again and best of luck!
