how many times can you have an EVO 6, EVO 7 and EVO 8 all next to each other, all LHD, and without any security to haggle you off?

Looks like behind the training facility at the Katella HQ..... I have played around with that 6, it is all Ralli-Art'ed up. Not sure if that is the same 7 I have played with though...Cool pic.

I still like the Evo VI the best. I'd trade mine in a second...

same here. The 6.5 TME would even be better.

I had a nice time driving that EVO 6 Tommi Edition that is in that shot. HKS had it for the LA autoshow a few years back. Very nice indeed!

i like it cuz it looks more agressive and "raw" compared to the sleek and refine look of the 8....doesnt it look like the 6 was a sports car turn sedan and the 8 as a sedan turn sports car?

for me the 5/6 model look tough and rough...the panels and fenders look bolted onto the car, giving it a hulky look.

and the front end of the 5 for me just looks mean

the 6 is more of a "real" evo. in other words, not watered-down like our us-spec 8s.

and....it's currently on my shopping list...

mechanically, our 8 is a 6/6.5 with an 8 body. well, more or less, accdg to Rhys Millen (i read abt it somewhere) :)

Evo5 is my favorite looker...

performance wise a 3 would be an ideal track car to me because of how small it is and how cost effective it'd be to import one. ..

well rhys was on something that day then... because the 8's closest relative would be the 7 RS. the 6/6.5 was a different platform and had everything a current JDM 8 has; acd, ayc, everything.

I might need to change my sig soon...

it was mechanically not chassis-wise.

like the 6 had no active diffs but just mechanical diffs (although j-spec cars get AYC) like the standard 8.

thats why i said and evo 6 with an 8 body. i know they are not the same chassis. i grew up in evo land before (asia) to know the differences between each model

oh yeah, I think you're right - acd debuted on the 7. durr. either way, if I can find a clean 6/6.5 for a reasonable price, it will be mine.

WOW. Sweet Pic Macky.

Thanks for sharing.

It's also a good feeling to know people on this board actually love the Lancer Evolution for more than just the 8, but for it's predecessors as well. You can figure most of the people driving the Evo VIII only have it due to it's price and "awesome performance features." Not it's heritage. (i.e. SRT-4) However in this forum, I stand corrected.

Thumbs up.

no problem. its actually hard to find supra owners who arent so full of themselves and are quite friendly online/at meets. i belive you are an exception to the rule

Thanks Macky.

I'm actually just a "Evo Owner" at heart, just waiting for the killer deal to arrive.

Your thought on supra owners couldn't be so dead-on, hell, you should see us at our meets, we'll give a cold shoulder to anyone without a supra. Keep in mind not all owners, but more times than not, they are just a bunch of loudmouth show-offs with a drug for cockiness. And they don't brag because how well the 2JZ-GTE responds to mods, but instead brag that they own a "supra". Funny thing is, 50% of them have salvage titles or 100k+ on the tach... but they'll never admit ANYTHING that downgrades the "supra". :P

Sorry if this question has been asked before but, I couldn't help myself. I see that a few of you guys have metioned about purchasing a previous model Evo. I know people get them for track cars but, is there a place that can actually get them street legal in CA? If not oh well I thought I might ask. Thanks!
