has anyone used slotted iron rotors(slotted brembos), will they just fill in slots w/ rotor material after hard use at a track session?

I dont know anything about the brembo rotors but I had a similar question.....

What do you guys think about the ROTORA slotted rotors???

Do they increase the brake pad wear???

Do they have better bite or are they just less resistant to fade???

Also, will the brake and rotor material fill in the slots eventually???
Last but not least,
Have you guys resurfaced the stock rotors or will they warp after they have been resurfaced because they are thinner???

Sorry about all the questions....

Please give your opinions guys...Thanks

The Rotora slotted rotors are up to 20 degrees more efficient than the stock rotors.

Brake dust is brake dust, it doesn't fill the slots as so much as the rotor material just begins to wear down.

I can get Rotoras so if you want some slotted or even bling bling cross drilled let me know.

Check the group buy out in the Private Classifieds section.

Drmosh, are you using these on your ride ????

Do they stop better???I know they fade less.....

Do you know if its safe to resurface the stock rotors???

Thanks....

"Stop better" is a broad term... it has to do mostly with pads, not necessarily rotors...

It's safe to turn the stock rotors until a certain threshold.

Thanks for the input....

Dino is right you wont fill the slots with dust or pads material.

as for whether or not it helps with stopping, I have been told it can help better seat pads and help to avoid warped rotor/pad deposite issues.

Slots aren't so much for heat as for releasing the gases pads create during hot use.

Both slots and drilled rotors' benefits have been debated as to their cost/benefit. (and I'm not talking cost to purchase the rotors, or have the machine work done)

The largest benefit is going to be had with cooling(brake ducting) and proper pads. IMO, if neither of those are aqequate enough, then I would consider slotting or cross-drilled.

If Bling-Bling is the priority, then the answer is easy :)

I have the slotted and cross drilled Rotora 2 piece rotors. Havent tracked them because Im ironing out other things first but they were great on some spirited runs through the canyons. No fade or warpage and the bite was great, granted these are the larger rotors as well.(14.3 in the front and 13.7 in the rear)
