Anybody have/use the GTech-Pro SS? Yay or nay? I'm interested in knowing if the thing picks up RPM's accurately since the website states: "We cannot guarantee with 100% definitiveness that the RPM pickup will work with your vehicle(s). This is no different than an aftermarket tachometer. Some vehicles present peculiar problems due to a variety of factors that are beyond our control. We can say that the Gtech's RPM pickup works in the vast majority of cars we have tested on. Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is to try it."

See if they'll give you a money back guarantee including shipping both ways.

I tested the G-tech pro at Carlsbad and it was off by a good chunk like 1/2 second and 5-7 mph.

Good for bench marking, but I wouldn't substitute it for a dyno. :)

Do you remember if it read the RPM's correctly and did you happen to use the shift light function?

The old G-TECH pro doesn't read the RPM.
I Think the Pro SS measures the RPM from the voltage in cigarette lighter.(?) It should be pretty accurate unless you have mods that alter the electrical system (ie. grouding kit).

The key is calibrating the unit correctly.
