So far I've been to 4 dealers in LA and Orange county to price out an MR. I was expecting a little bit of a markup but $4000.00 at Huntington Beach Mitsu., $8000.00 at Long Beach Mitsu. and $10,000 at Cerritos and Puente Hills. I can take a little smack down for something this good but I won't bend over that far!

Anyone know a dealer who has one closer to MSRP? Thanks!

there should be no negotiating over a markup. that is money you will never recover and the dealer is also looking for a way to get out of supporting the products they sale.(warranty) FUCK PAYING ANY MARKUP! make those greedy fucks wait. you'll just be another sucker if you do. the saying goes: A FOOL AND HIS MONEY WILL SOON BE PARTED.

Mitsu sales are down and they have car that sales what would you do if you had mitsu dealership sale it for MSRP. They are saling the car over MSRP because they can. If no one is willing to buy over MSRP than they would be forced to lower price. It is basic economics with supply and demand.

Good luck with getting an MR I know guy who got his for 39K out the door.

I wonder what Santa Monica Mitsubishi's markup will be. Heck, when i purchased my '04 Evo, they had a 15K markup in July!

I wouldn't pay a markup - that was my original agreement with Tom @ HB Mitsu when I ordered the white MR. I just can't see taking the $10,000 hit to trade in my blue one.

The EVO VII, VIII, IX are all using the same engine while X will have the vairable vavle timing that all the new cars have.

Thats why I bought 3 cars from them. 03 Dodge dakota r/t (traded back for Evo), 03 Mazda protege 5 wagon(for wife), and my 03 evo 8.
ask for: Diego Franco or John Corbett 562-924-1414 tell them Daniel Pinn sent you, maybe mention SoCalEvo.net that way they know that a lot of evo owners are watching their prices. It may or may not do you any good, but they always kick down for referals. :D

went and looked at that MR yesterday. except that it does not have the blacked out lights, front or back, that is an awsome car. I am jealous of any body who gets this car.
The guys at Browning said they are willing to deal/ no mark up.

I will be more then willing to help a fellow evo enthuist. Just give me shout over here, either by calling for asking for me.

Oh I am :D
But I still think the MR is one of the most awsome things you could just drive off the show room floor. $150k+ cars excluded.

Thousand Oaks Mitsu..no mark up no haggling, but only a White one left. Miller Mitsu has about 5 left, but have a $6,000 markup, but they will sell for sticker if you have the stomach to negotiate with them.

Santa Monica Mitsu is the biggest RIPOFF in SoCal. Keep in mind that they marked up the Evo $20k when it was first released.
Their parts department also has a markup. A $50 part will cost you $60 at Santa Monica mitsu and only $40 at Norco Mitsubishi. No frickin joke.

Thousand Oaks Mitsu is pretty good.
Norco Mitsu is the best. Just drive yo' ass out there and get the best service by far. Tell them you like Norco because of Dave in the Parts Dept. I'm not Dave... he's just a real cool guy that has supported SoCal DSM for years with good deals on parts.

Thousand Oaks Mitsu is a joke. Worst sales department ever. Todey will deal and they are great to do business with. My family and friends as well as myself have bought cars there and nothing less than outstanding.
