Check out sumitomo HTRZ, I have used this tires on several autocross events. Grippy tires and longer tread wear for less than $100/each. Goodluck!

o, were sure yours drive fine wherever you go

Ill have to agree however that they do tend to slip a little when water is present, what do you expect from that tread though!!!!!!!!

And in the end, you just dont want to throw on a pair of 100 dollar performance tires, you normally, actually you always get what you pay for

you are asking for to much performance out of something that will cost you around 100.00
Specially if you plan to track the car with the same tires, if your concern is something that will last over 25k IMO the toyo t1-s are the best way to go but if you plan to track the car then you should buy another set of tires that will perform at the track like RA1's, advans , KD's , kumho's, etc...

exactly. plenty of $100 tires will last 20K miles, but none of them will be trackable. if you want track performance, just get some r-compounds. ra1s can be had for pretty cheap, about $140 I think.

im just looking for the "best" of both worlds.

i know i cant super sticky with lasting power
so i just want a nice in between

i have the lasting kumho supra 712, but the sidewalls are sloppy.

KDs are expensive Bevo :P
for a 245/40/17 its near 160.00 each
for a 255/40/17 its near 210.00 each
Toyo t1-s are near 120.00 for a 235/40/17
honestly tokeone you can not have both worlds
Specially when it comes to tracking the car, unless you go with the Azenis IMO which is the best tire compare to what you paid for. 200 tread wear and you can get an entire set for 540.00 OTD
remember that they will not perform anywhere near the KD's, advans a046 or a032 or RA1's but there cheap.
if you want both worlds (depends how you drive on the street) the KD's should last near 25k with a treadwear of 200 AA and they will perform great at the track. but keep im mind that if you track the car with your street tires or deliver tofu kiss your tire life goodbye. Theres is no way you will get near as 25k with any tire if you track the car (specially at Streets of Willow) which is harsh on brakes and tires. Best thing is to buy some tires design for the track and track only. and get some ok tires for the street. This would be alot easier if you wouldnt ask for a decent tire that would perform at the track.

yeah, i understand that i cant get 25k out of a tire that im running hard on. but to me, youd be hard pressed to get 25k out of the advans even if you babied.
and i know if i took the supra712 to the track id be in the dirt or going real slow around the corners.
so i guess i should have said i want something i could track, but if not, then they will last me for a while.
i think the t1-s or the kds (even though they arent the price im talking about) would be the best for me.
since im moving closer to work, the azenis may also fit the bill... but with the rain and my having to drive 100 miles a day, i was very weary of them.

azenis are not bad on the rain or even RA1's (since thats what i have at the moment-RA1's) its how you drive the car.
If not ask Rich , shave RA1's .
Im waiting for my KD's to arrived, but honestly i saw a good amount out of the stock advans a046. 3 track days , 18k miles out of them and plenty more to go! im sure i could of seen at least 22k out of them. Like i said before its how you drive and have you ever been to streets of willow before ?? if not you will be amaze how hard is streets on tires, so regarless which tires you might get and if you track the car at streets (buttonwillow or T-hill is abit different) you will kill your tires.
if you are changing your mind on the price range, then i would look into the BF goodrich KD's there great tires and cheaper then the stock with a treadwear of 200 AA. different people have use them and their happy with the results they have seen with this tires (one of the reasons why i decided to by them) that and Bevo bragging so much about them :P
