Yes Pep Boys at the counter. I thought the real deal was the Mobil1 oil. But the real deal is the free wax, car wash, and techron. It was misprinted, and supposed to say buy 1 get 1 free. Instead of just free. So that itself pays for itself and more.

Yes, and yes. Most of the high-end European manufacturers recommend using Techron with their vehicles. Chevron, the company who invented it puts it into their gas sold at the pump, so any time you fill with Chevron you are getting the Techron additive.

The Lake Forest and Costa Mesa Pep Boys have plenty of 5w30 and 10w30. They're out of 15w50, Techron, RainX Car wash, and Eagle One Wax as you Dry ;)

i found out last night if you bring up "the calendars are for charity and the proceeds go to a good cause" the managers are a lot more easy going with letting you buy 5 cases of oil at half price.

especially if there are people behind you in line and you said it loud enough.

The checkout lady at lake forest would not let me use the coupon on 10w-30. The fine print has the SKU for 15W-50 or something. Has this been a problem anywhere else?

Looks like the store managers are networking and limiting this to only one per person per day. Also, the calendars are one per person per day as well at many stores. You may be able to find a store to buy multiples from (of product/calendars) but this is dwindling. If you've got the calendars already you're golden, it's just going to take a lot more trips.

Then the manager refused to sell to me and said he was calling the cops....LOLOLOLOL.........I told the f***ing dick to bring it on ,I would wait for them and that he would have 2 remove me from the store....I wasnt leaving.......After talking shit to his face for ten minutes he decided I could by 1 calender......F***ing b**ches......

A lot of stores around here are all out. Artesia and La mirada are out. Anaheim had a whole bunch, only out of techron. However, stupid manager also said one person per day. Anyone know a place that has no limits? Doesn't really matter if they dont have any oil in stock as they get shipments in all the time.

Heh, no wonder why Pep Boys managers are so grumpy recently:

This got posted on FatWallet a day or two ago. I overheard a store manager today telling the checkout person that the regional Vice President e-mailed all the stores and told them to limit it to one per person per day. Interpretations may vary (some stores wouldn't even validate different product coupons on the same day, like 1 oil, 1 car wash). The calendars that most stores are selling now have stickers placed on them which change the free coupons to "buy 1 get 1 free" but the oil coupon seems to be unchanged (although one store tried to tell me it was buy 3 get 1 free).

The normal sale price already on mobil1 @ $4.00 will be ending today, so it will go back up to $5.00/quart after today supposedly. Bastards, I wanted more oil :(

UPDATE: Seems upper management has caught on to the Free Items and have amended the coupons to be applied as "BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE" Party is over, but still sort of a good deal, but getting it for practically free was a no brainer. Seems the memo has been distributed to all the stores, but who knows, YMMV.

bought 200 calendars the day before.
